Lincoln Street Transformation: A Master Suite & Sunroom Designed for Aging in Place in Hingham, MA
At White Oak Home, we love creating spaces that not only elevate a home’s beauty but also make life more comfortable for the people who live there. Our recent project on Lincoln Street in Hingham, Massachusetts, was all about just that.
This couple had lived in their charming South Shore home for years and loved the neighborhood. But as they looked toward the future with their growing family of grandchildren, they wanted to ensure they could stay in their home long-term without worrying about stairs or accessibility challenges. Their goal: a main-level master suite addition that blended seamlessly with the home’s style, plus a sunroom/three-season area where they could enjoy the outdoors year-round.
The Master Suite Addition

We created a spacious master bedroom on the main floor, paired with two custom closets for ample storage. The en suite bathroom features thoughtful accessibility considerations, including a large walk-in shower, all while maintaining a timeless, high-end aesthetic.

The Sunroom & Three-Season Space
Just off the new suite, we added a bright, inviting sunroom that functions as a three-season retreat. Large windows flood the space with natural light, offering views of the property’s mature landscaping while keeping the couple and their family comfortable in every season. A bar area completes the space with a nod to their love of tennis with this unique hardware.

Aging in Place, South Shore Style
This project is a perfect example of how homeowners in Hingham and across the South Shore can adapt their homes to meet changing needs without sacrificing style. By keeping the couple’s bedroom, closets, and bathroom all on the first floor, they can enjoy their home for decades to come — while also adding value and modern amenities.
Whether you’re considering a master suite addition, a sunroom, or a whole-home renovation in Hingham, Cohasset, Scituate, Duxbury, or beyond, we specialize in blending timeless design with practical, long-term living solutions.
